How was your experience in looking for a wedding dress? Did you look at lots of different designs/ places?
I looked at lots of designs online then looked for shops stocking the designs I liked. I really enjoyed trying on different styles to see what suited my body shape best and narrowed down my search.
What attracted you to come to Luna Bride?
I was attracted to the relaxed boho vibe of the dresses and the gorgeous ethical materials used in the designs.
Which dress did you go for and how was the process from choosing to receiving your final dress?
I was drawn to the lace detail on the back of the beach dress and chose a modified version with a similar style top to the pure gown. The process was really straightforward and it was lovely going for the initial consultation and fittings at the beautiful Luna Bride studio.
How did you choose your wedding venue, photographer e.t.c.?
For the venue we searched online for village halls close to the chapel where we got married, the hall we chose provided the perfect blank canvas to make our own. It also allowed us the freedom to do what we wanted, we provided all our own alcohol (with no corkage charge!) and brought in the amazing Taste the Love caterers to provide the food for the day. We searched on Instagram for our photographer and came across Olivia Moon, Olivia put us at ease on the day and we loved her relaxed documentary style. We chose Back Chat Brass as our wedding band, they were great getting every guest up on the dance floor, we found them online then went to a local gig they were playing before we booked them. We also found ideas for decoration and other elements of the day through wedding blogs, indie wedding fairs and searching Pinterest/Instagram.
Do you have any top tips for other bride to be's on leading up to their wedding?
Keep a spreadsheet of costs, this really helped keep us organised. Also a tip I was given multiple times was to not stress too much over the small details, this was easier said than done but on the day you'll be too happy to worry about anything that goes slightly wrong.
What was the reaction to the dress?
Everyone loved the dress and commented on how perfectly it suited my style and the relaxed day we had.
Tell us about your wedding day?
Our day was really relaxed and laid back. We really wanted everyone to have a fun time with plenty of food, drinks and good music. We had so much fun celebrating with everyone and the day was better than we could have imagined.
