Here I am sharing a styled shoot we did at Camp Katur last year. We are very excited that it has just been featured on The Festival Brides Blog. check it out here - https://www.festivalbrides.co.uk/off-grid-an-elopement-wedding-inspiration-shoot-with-desert-luxe-styling/
Heres an excerpt from the blog -
To kick off the working week, we have a gorgeous ‘desert luxe’ elopement styled shoot to share with you all, put together by one of our very talented festival wedding directory suppliers, Jaymie of Forge Events. She wanted to create an off the grid shoot that mixes luxury styling with the wild boho desert trend that we are seeing so much of on social media at the moment. As well as this, she also wanted to make sure that the environmental impact of the shoot was kept to a minimum….
The environmental credentials shoot is worthy of mentioning. All the suppliers featured in this shoot live locally to the venue, less than 10 miles. The stationery, jewellery and brides dress are all hand made from sustainable, ethically sourced materials and 90% of the flowers and foliage used in the shoot were organically grown by the floral designer. No floral foam was used in this shoot – no waste to landfill.
Luxury does not have to have a negative impact on the environment and this shoot illustrates this beautifully.
Jaymie talks us through the shoot and all of the wonderful suppliers involved….
This shoot showcases a different and more approachable look for couples in the UK seeking a luxury but wild, off-grid romantic look. There is a wonderful trend at the minute of what I call ‘Desert Luxe’ and so many of my clients love it but cannot quite make it fit with themselves. Most couples want a high proportion of foliage and flowers within their floral design and are unsure how to incorporate a slightly edgy off-grid look. I hope this shoot inspires couples and gives them ideas of how they can bring all the elements they love into one cohesive scheme, without just adding pampas grass to be trendy! The colour pallet used all elegant tones of gold, warm rich copper, burgundy and chocolate blended with the last of the seasons blush and muddy pink roses and dahlias. Seasonal grasses featured heavily and brought in that edgier wild look which complimented the gold elements in the shoot perfectly.
